Vasil Bykov Museum-Dacha

In 2014, a new museum appeared on the literary map of Belarus. An exhibition was opened in the building of the writer's dacha to mark the 90th anniversary of the birth of the people's writer of Belarus Vasil Bykov.

Back in 1993, the museum received more than 1,000 items of valuable materials as a gift from Vasily Vladimirovich Bykov himself. In 2012, the writer's widow Irina Bykova gave the museum the items that were in the dacha of Vasily Vladimirovich during his lifetime, as well as some materials from the writer's apartment in Minsk (more than 1,600 items in total).

The main distinguishing feature of the museum is its maximum memoriality. The building of the dacha consists of the following premises.

Ground floor-living room, kitchen, garage. The second floor – balustrade, office of Vasily Vladimirovich, room of Irina Mikhailovna and attic.

Typical for a country house of the 1980s-1990s is the upholstery of the walls of the guest room with "clapboard". The cottage is equipped with modest furniture typical of the 1980s: a set of kitchen furniture, a desk, an ottoman, bookshelves, a sofa, etc. Among the furniture, there is a dining set (a dining table of three sections, 12 chairs), a buffet.
